My Beautiful Niece
My beautiful Niece is Victoria "Tori" Carver.. and today is her Birthday.. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TORI!! Today she turns 11 years old ..
Tori is the only deaf child that Mary has.. and attends TSD in Knoxville.. She just started middle school this fall and so far is enjoying being in the 6th grade.. Tori is very intrested in sports and has played almost everything that TSD has.. Tori has once again joined the Volleyball team at Tsd for the 2nd year in a row..
Tori is the 7th generation on my mom's side to be born deaf.. and we are very proud that the heredity has been passed down to her.. and hopefully when Tori has kids that they will also be deaf to pass down our wonderful family heredity!!
When Tori was still a baby..we'd put her in a walker in the middle of the room and try to get her to walk towards us... and the most cutest thing she'd do until she outgrew the walker and had her balance walking is that she'd put her arms up int he air and 1 of her hands would be "waving" the whole time she'd walk.. it was almost like she was waving bye bye while she was walking but it was just a bit different than waving bye.. but it was just sooo cute.. She eventually grew out of it so it only lasted a short while but that memory stays with us for the rest of our lives.. and we would tell Tori what she did and she just giggle thinking it's funny..
I just can't believe that my little girl has grown up to be 11 years old..and turning into such a beautiful young lady who I know will make some guy very happy in the future.. :-) I love you Tori.. SOOOO MUCH
