Last Sunday of February!!

My GOSH I can't believe that today is the last Sunday of the month!! Time is really flying by without me being able to do what I really wanted to do..

Let's see what has happened to me in this short month... Robert and I bought our house, I've gotten sick for almost 2 weeks (still not totally over this sinus infection) and I've had to deal with being behind at work.. and now Robert's sick with what I have had for the last 2 weeks.. ugh I hope nobody else in the family has gotten what we're going through..

Work is going ok.. It's been kinda crazy between me trying to get caught up on the work that I do and new procedures on things we are gonna start doing on our work and also the company is expanding the building.. so it's been very very noisy at work with construction work going on outside..

We're suppose to be in the new part of the building in July hopefully if nothing else happens to slow down the process.. We really can't wait to see how the building is gonna look.. we're in a pretty small building compared to how many people works there.. they're expanding it about 20,000 more square feet . we're about 3 to 5,000 square feet now so it's gonna be a big building.. We were told Friday that we are getting new computer systems too YIPPPEEEEEE that's something I'm looking forward to.. our computers are not really OLD but it's old enough that we have problems with it from time to time..

So until we get into the new part of the building we are struggling with parking spaces, and how crowded our office spaces are right now.. I will try and get some pictures to post once we get things done at the office so you can see the before and after picture of the building..

Other than that.. Really not much going on in my direction.. Just been trying to get better from this sinus infection and getting back into the working mode..

Next month is only 3 days away!! I am looking forward to Saturday though.. that's the day that Mom, Mary and I are gonna finally get together again and work on our sewing/quilting projects.. we were suppose to get together every 1st saturday of the month but in Jan and Feb. we didn't get together but now I can't remember why we didn't but anyway.. we're getting together this Saturday.. I've been itching to get started on my sewing!! I need to use my sewing machine to get some good use out of it.. :)

Sunday, the family is SUPPOSE to go to mary's house for a family dinner.. I can't wait because we're gonna have Taco Salad that day :-D I can't wait for that dinner!! I also think mom is gonna make Flan for dessert and if she does oh YUMMY!!! I haven't had that in a while :)

Now that Spring is coming up pretty soon.. I am gonna have to get started on some spring cleaning and start a few little projects I have in mind to do.. We need to do some painting in the kitchen, rearrange furnitures in some rooms, and I'd like to do a few other things.. So I'm looking forward to doing that :)

A Lazy Saturday

Today has been such a Lazy Day... This whole past week I was home from work.. I have been sick with sinus infection and where it has caused me to have a great deal of discomfort and loud ringing in my right ear.. Finally wedensday I went in to the dr's office and he prescribed me some antibotics and another "antihistamine" med.. but when I went to get them filled the pharmacy didn't have enough of the antihistamine med. and the co pay was outrageous for it so the lady told me I could buy Mucinex and Sudafed and it'd do the same what this other med would do...

So then last night I was talking to Mary on the VP I was freezing!!! and the room temp was 73 degrees so I knew something was up.. I went and took my temp and seen that I was now having a fever.. Robert had to cover me up in 4 blankets before I finally got warm enough.. I really felt like I was on fire in my throat and chest before finally being able to feel a little bit normal.. but Today I am still running a fever and been in bed for most of the day..watching Lifetime movies for the most part..

We had some snow today and we got approx. 2 inches of snow.. they're calling for a weak system to come through tomorrow night but don't think it will amount to anything.. I GOTTA go back to work Monday.. and face the music ugh.. The ladies I work with are gonna be soooo mad at me for missing work last week but i had no choice.. it was either go in and cough all over them and get them sick or stay home!!

Sigh.. that's about all that I've been doing is being sick and laying in bed for the most part.. sigh... maybe soon I'll have exciting news to post about.. maybe not LOL....

Our New Home!!!

Well we are now offically HOMEOWNERS!!! YAY!!!! Robert and I are sooo excited now.. it really does feel different knowing that we've lived in this house for a year but that we actually bought the house and not have to move.. it has a very different feeling.. I can't really describe it but it's a good feeling :)

Yesterday I went to work but left at 11:30 and came home changed pants and shoes then mom and I got in my car and Robert followed us to Granny/Gramps apt. then picked them up and then after a quick stop at the pharmacy we were on our way to the title company..

Once we got there we saw that the interpeter was already there which was a relief knowing he actually was there.. We got in and barely was sitting down for 5 mins when the lady came in and said we could go ahead and go into the "meeting room" there was 6 chairs but 7 of us hmmm.. so mom sat in the walker that granny has and we all were able to fit in there.. it was a strange feeling of course hehe..

We got in at 1 30 and was out by 2 30.. we really were signing "a book" LOL we signed a whole bunch of papers and by the end she got up and said congratulation you are now homeowners.. it made me smile ear to ear.. everyone clapped and I knew my gramps was thrilled that he no longer had to worry about the upkeep of the house any more..

well.. our 1st nite of being homeowner there was snow advisory for our area.. and they were calling for 2 to 6 inches of snow.. I went to bed at 11 without really looking to see if it had started snowing or not.. so this morning when I got up there was snow on the ground.. not much but at least it's there..a nd as of 3 hours of being awake.. it's still snowing but the temps are going up so I don't think we'll see much of the snow this afternoon i'm sure it'll melt :( ... I have been PRAYING for a Blizzard.. I would LOVE to be inside this house for several days and just be cozy and snuggling up to robert.. but it'll be just for 1 day instead of several LOL..

Robert went outside this morning to get some pictures to remember our first full day of being homeowners.. Robert and I have several plans on doing with the house.. first thing is first we are gonna fence in the yard so max can have free roam of yard running.. Then we'll do some other things like put shutters on the house, new front door, etc. and eventually change the carport into a new room.. I think maybe it'll be my new sewing room.. so i can change the other one back into a guest room :)

Great News!!!

For the last few weeks.. Only a few people knew what Robert and I have been doing.. and now that I got the final phone call today.. I thought I'd go ahead and post it.. since it's been scheduled!! Let me start at the beginning and explain this...

Robert and I moved into this house that we are living in a year ago this month.. and we always thought we'd stay here 2-3 years then have money saved up and buy a house or land with a doublewide trailer.. well.. things change like everything else in life.. I had started looking into buying THIS HOUSE..

But one night last month (January) I was reading the newspaper online and there was a banner of a finance company that I have been hearing a lot about on the radio, tv, newspapers,and billboards.. and thought what have I got to lose?!?! So I put in a online application one night which I think was a thursday night and then I got a phone call here at home but darn I wasn't home.. I was at work so I had to wait till Monday when they were opened.. so Monday Morning I called and the lady who I have been working with had taken my call and asked me a few questions.. she went ahead and put in a request with a loan company that she had worked with before and they looked over our stuff and said we were PRE-APPROVED!!! oh man was I thrilled.. but I tried not to get my hopes up since things can change between being pre approved and actually being approved..

She and I had called and faxed each other back and forth with info etc. I had to gather so much info I thought I was gonna go insane!!! and then she told me to go ahead and look for homeowner insurance.. man did this make me more excited cause I felt she was getting my hopes up.. so I went ahead and called around and managed to find good rates with one company so I picked them and let the lady know..

This Lady called me last week and said.. we need to get the house appraised.. ohhh boy!!!! more excitement but also a nervous time!! I kept doing research to really understand what we were gonna be doing etc. well Finally Tuesday the lady came and she appraised the house but Dang I had to wait till Wedensday to find out from the lady at the finance company about the appraisal and she said everything came out fine.. it was more than what the loan was for.. whew.. now I had a huge stress off of me.. but now she said she was waiting to hear from the loan company as to if they needed more info from me or whatever.. sigh... more wait...

TODAY!!! around 3:45 I had gotten a call at work from the lady saying.. can you come on wedensday at 3 pm to close.. ummmmm NO i can't!! work is soooo crazy right now and so stressful I knew I wouldn't be able to be there at 3.. so I asked her if Friday would be ok.. she said she'd call me back and let me know.. within 3 mins. she called me on the cell phone and said yes Friday at 2 pm... WOOO HOOOOO!!!! I wanted to yell in excitement but I had to contain my excitement until I got off work LOL...

So when I got home I went straight to mom's house and went straight for her desk calendar she had.. she already wrote in "Sandy & Robert closing on house" well.. this time I got to put a TIME!!! Mom was talking to Mary on the VP so Mary got to find out through mom when I was telling mom.. I'm just sooo thrilled..

Now Robert and I are starting to make a list of what we want to do with the house.. and what we NEED to do... there's so much I'd like to do but of course gotta wait and save the $$ so we can do things.. but the very first thing we are doing is putting a fence in the "back/side" yard so that way Max won't have to be on the tie-out anymore and he'd have the freedom to run and have his exercise :)

I wanna tell the ones who knew what we were doing.. thank you for beliving in us and praying for us to be able to get this home..we are now in just 1 week from tomorrow.. GONNA BE HOMEOWNERS!!!! YIIPPPPEEEEEEEEEEEE
