~*Christmas Shopping *~

Well it's ALMOST CHRISTMAS TIME!!! I can't believe how fast time has been going by this year!!! I really do feel like we just started the year 2006 and already we're at the end of the year!!!

I have managed to buy almost everything I wanted to get people for christmas this year.. I still have a few more to get but will get that in time for christmas :-) I can't decide what I want to get Robert... He's fairly easy to buy but it's hard to decide WHAT to get hehe...

Mary (my sister) had posted that I went to black friday sale.. Yes I was insane enough to go.. Only because what Mary and I discussed to get the kids for christmas.. was on sale at Wal-Mart so I decided to go before going to work.. YAWN!!!!!

I woke up at 3 am that Friday morning and got my shower and was ready to head out the door by 4:15 that morning.. The sale was to start at 5... I drove up Clinton Highway to the Wal-Mart there and in the parking lot there didn't seem to be that many cars but inside was a totally different scene!!! I was trying to find that item and found a worker pulling a pallet with it so I tried to get behind him but there was already a crowd gathered around him before he was able to settle it down!!!

I managed to get up close to see the items I was the 2nd person back.. I stood there and waited... waited.. for almost 30 mins.. when 5 am came!!! Everyone was pushing and a shoving so poor people who were there around it couldn't get out of the crowd.. so they were handing the stuff back to other people behind them... the lady was nice enough to give me one that I wanted.. and I managed to squirm my way out of the crowd!! but then I lost my cart I had.. so I took someone elses (I know I'm Bad!!!) but the "traffic" out of the department was a nightmare!! So I finally got to the next department I was looking for and found the item I wanted to get.. I started walking around and found more items.. and more items and soon my cart was OVER FLOWING!!!!! oh my gosh I couldn't believe what I had done..although I had control but I didn't hmmm... I needed a chaperone with me going to this store!!! (that's what Robert gets for not going with me :-) ) Although I'm glad he didn't hehe..

I waited until my paycheck went into the bank acct so I could pay for my stuff and head to work.. so Mary kept me company paging back and forth until I was able to pay the stuff and get outta there!!!

I managed to get to work at 7:30 that morning which is great since I am usually at work about that time on paydays !!!! Everyone at work thought I was crazy to have gone to Wal Mart but when I told them what I got and what I paid them for.. they were like.. WHY DIDN'T YOU CALL ME .. I wanted this or that.. I was like well why didn't you go!!!!!!!

I can't say what I bought that day yet.. because gifts I bought for family & Friends view this blog so I can't say... Maybe after Christmas Day I can post LOL.. IF I remember... But I will never forget this day where I got to spend money!!!!

~~My Birthday~~

Hi Everybody!! I'm finally sitting down and thinking of what to post here tonight!!!

my birthday was 2 weeks ago but Robert got my birthday gift a few days late but haven't been able to take a picture of what he gave me..hmmmm my camera doesn't wanna get in focus to be able to take the pic. so I'm just gonna have to tell you what he got me!!!

Robert got me a BEAUTIFUL BLUE TOPAZ jewelery!! My favorite blue is the kind he got me!! He got me a set of ring, necklace and earrings all that match! it's all blue hearts with diamonds in it!!! I've been wearing the ring and necklace everyday but haven't put the earrings on due to wanting to get it cleaned first before putting it on.. but I'll have it on soon enough!!

I am glad he thought of getting me this for my birthday because lately I've been wanting to wear something more "feminine" I only have a wedding band on and have been wanting something more on my hands!! I do have some other rings but this one I LOVE!!!!

I am looking forward to see what he has in store for my christmas gift.. somehow even though he thinks he doesn't know what I would want and like.. He has ALWAYS managed to pick something out that I love!!!

Christmas Holiday Questions

Christmas Holiday "know me better"!
1. Egg Nog or Hot Chocolate? Egg Nog during the holidays.. any other time.. HOT CHOCOLATE!!

2. Does Santa wrap the presents or just set them under the tree? as far as I can remember.. it's always wrapped!!

3. Colored or white lights on the tree/house? Color

4. Do you hang mistletoe? Nope :(

5. When do you put up your decorations? I try to do it day after thanksgiving...

6. What is your favorite holiday dish? sweet potato casserole that my sister makes!

7. Favorite Holiday memory as a child? There is several but I think the one I'll always remember is when we lived in knightdale and we were in the living room opening gifts and Mary and I argued like always about who gets to sit on the couch!!

8. When and how did you learn the truth about Santa? I really don't remember how I found out about santa...

9. Do you open gifts on Christmas Eve? Yeah we do open on christmas eve because that is the tradition!!

10. How do you decorate your Christmas Tree? this year we got prelit tree, so we'll decorate it with ornaments and that's it!!

11. Snow! Love or Dread it? I wish we'd have a blizzard!!!

12. Can you ice skate? Nope

13. Do you remember your favorite gift? I had 2 of them that i loved... one when I was younger I got "hungry hungry hippo" game and when I was a teenager I got a purple sweater that had scottie dogs on it.. I loved it!

14. What is the most important thing about the Holidays for you? Being with family

15. Favorite holiday dessert? Pumpkin pie, Pecan pie and Eclair Pie

16. What is your favorite holiday tradition? Watching the kids open their gifts and watch their expression because that's what makes being with children so special

George Strait

YAY!!!!!!!!!! WIVK radio station announced about a week ago that GEORGE STRAIT is coming to Knoxville for a concert!!!!! on Feb. 23rd 2007 and I AM LOOKING FORWARD TO IT!!!!!!!!

George Strait is my absolute FAVORITE singer in the country music business.. he was inducted into the music hall of fame this past week.. he is a very good man and he produces wonderful music.. His song "cross my heart" is the one that I got my wedding vows from!!

I am HOPING that the tickets aren't expensive and that I can get some tickets.. Robert is wanting to go, and I wanna take Mary and maybe Tori with us so they can get an idea and experience of what a concert is like!!

OHHHHHHH man this is what I want!!!! HINT HINT somebody I need 4 tickets!!! And I want GOOD SEATS!!!!!

Girls Night Out!!

About a month ago, the ladies at work and I talked about going to a "Christmas Craft Show" at the Knoxville Expo Center... to do some christmas shopping. Well we found out it was this weekend so we all made plans to go after work on Friday.. now this is the same place I went to last year!!

So there had planned to be about 8-10 people going BUT only 5 of us went :( But it was still fun!! We all met up there after work.. I was the first to arrive LOL see how excited I was!! the ones that went were.. Carol, Brenda, Mary, Joyce and me

As soon as we walked in I saw a lot of things were in the same place as they were last year which as kinda neat and weird at the same time but at least I knew where to go LOL.. I saw some ornaments that we can have personalized free and I thought about getting one but I didn't know which one that I'd like to get so didn't get one :)

My main reason for going was that I had gotten a quilt throw last year for 20 dollars and I wanted to buy one for the ladies in my family for christmas but when I saw.. OMG it went from 20 dollars to 49 dollars!!! I was really really disappointed that it turned out that way so none of us bought any quilts .. THIS was the main reason we even went was for the quilt.. although there was something else I was gonna buy there..

So we walked on and I saw a BIG THICK slices of CHOCOLATE CHEESECAKE on a stick!!! But I wouldn't pay 5 dollars for it!!! so I walked on and saw a lot of stuff and they were so pretty but some were reasonable prices and some were really expensive.. up to 300 dollars and then I saw the MUSCADINE JUICE!! omg I tried this last year and it was sooooooo good I didnt' buy last year but decided to buy 4 bottles.. 2 red and 2 white.. it's in a wine bottles so I am going to have my family try some...but I had the guy hold onto to the box so that way I wouldn't have to carry it..

some more Aisles and I found the Sunshine company this is the one where I bought the pumpkin butter last year so now I wanted to buy some for mom, mary and me!! Yes I didn't mention granny cause I asked her and she didnt' want any so I didn't get for her.. I told the guy I wanted 6 jars and he was like what? I said again.. I want 6 of these!!! so he put them in a box and asked me anything else?? I was tempted but said no that's it.. they had sweet potato butter, cherry butter, strawberry butter, apple butter, pear cinnamon jam, blackberry jam, blueberry I mean my gosh they had everything!! and including fudge, fruitcake etc. now the fudge I wish I got.. I sampled the peanut butter fudge and it was sooooo good!!!! but I was a good girl and didn't get it.. cause I ordered Sugar Free fudge from granny's Figis Catalog :)

After all this walking I was tired and my feet were hurting so we waited for Carol and Mary and when they got done we were going to go out to eat .. Carol said we could ride in her van and then she'd bring us back to get our cars so we said ok.. we all piled into the van and went to Cracker Barrel and we had a wait for a table!!! Finally they called the 5 of us to the line and took us to this table that was only set for 4 people.. we said NO WAY!!! so we went back out to the shop area and less than 5 mins later they called us again and took us to a table set for 6!! now that's better.. we ordered our food and it came and we all had fun laughing at carol and mary cause the food they ordered took up most of the table!!! They ordered breakfast food so it required more plates.. than the other 3 of us.. Brenda and I ordered the friday night special which was the fish.. She got Cod and I got Cat fish and it was sooooo good!!! but I didn't eat all of my food .. I had steak fries and coleslaw left.. I just couldn't eat!!

I got pages from mary and she was making me curious about something mom got and that i'd have to wait to see what it is.. grrrrrrrrrr so I threatened to send her birthday present back she said go ahead .. grrr smart ass!! hehe but finally we got done eating and we all got back into the van and headed back to expo center.. Carol dropped us each to our cars and we all headed our own way back home and when I got back I went straight over to mom and dad's and saw they got a new stove and microwave.. COOL!!! they been needing a new one for a while.. well when I saw it .. I said we're having thanksgiving dinner here!! (suppose to have it here at my house) but they got way cooler ways to cook the food there!! it'd save so much time cooking there!!! 3 racks in the oven.. and a rack in the microwave wow!! now I wanna get one!! we need a new stove but not now.. not until we get our bills paid down.. but it was nice..

FINALLY I got home and I was just worn out!! I stayed up till 11:30 and finally gave up went laid down and fell asleep..

I really enjoy the girls night out.. we're now planning a day or weekend trip to Gatlinburg next month hehe!! I can't wait!!!!!!!!!!

New Unit

Last spring, We found out that our heat didn't work anymore !! So now that it's getting closer to colder weather we called Melton Heat and Air and asked them to come out and give me a price on how much a new unit would cost us..

Robert and I told them what we wanted and the guy was super nice and checked everything so he gave us a price which I didn't think was a bad price although expensive but not too bad.. So we had to find the money to pay for it.. so finally about a week after getting the cost we got the money and last Tuesday they came out and put in a new unit...

We absolutely love the new heat.. it's a dual unit which means we can have heat pump or the gas heat depending on how the weather is outside.. so when it drops to around 39 degrees the gas heat kicks in!! when it's 40 and up we use the heat pump which I thought was kinda neat I'd like that!!! and we also have a 7 day programmable digital thermostat (Robert's request) but I really like it.. we can set it to be a certain temp when we wake up then set it to go down when the last person leaves then it'll set to the temp we set up for when we get home and bedtime.. it is really really neat!!!

So now we don't have to worry about heat this winter!! UNLESS the power goes out then we're outta luck LOL!!!
