    The River

Back when I had just met David, He got me into country music and one of the first few songs that I just fell in love with is "The River" by Garth Brooks.. it just meant a lot because of dreams I have and some seemed so impossible and some I knew could happen if I worked hard at it. But of course that song is rarely ever played on the radio anymore because it's an old song etc. BUT this morning as I was getting out of the shower I had the radio on listening ot it and soon it played "The River" and I just felt I needed to post it on my blog today...

In this time of my life there is still dreams that I have that I would love to accomplish and there are dreams that I have already accomplished.. I have accomplished having a steady job for the last 2 1/2 years, I am married to a man who is very good to me and who endures my moody days ;), I have a home, a car, I have things that I can now get if I wanted.. well some things at least hehe..

Here is the song... I hope that it gives you some thoughts as to how true this song is that relates to everyone having dreams ..

    "The River" By Garth Brooks

You know a dream mis like a river
    Ever changin' as it flows
    and a dreamer's just a vessel
That must follow where it goes
Trying to learn from what's behind you
and never knowing what's in store
Makes each day a constant battle
Just to stay between the shores,.. and

    I will sail my vessel
    'Til the river runs dry
Like a bird upon the wind
    These waters are my sky
    I'll never reach my destination
    If I never try
So I will sail my vessel
    'Til the river runs dry

Too many times we stand aside
And let the waters slip away
'Til what we put off till tomorrow
    Has now become today
So don't you sit upon the shoreline
    And say you're satisfied
    Choose to chance the rapids
And dare to dance the tides,... Yes

    I will sail my vessel
    Till the river runs dry
Like a bird upon the wind
    These waters are my sky
    I'll never reach my destination
    If I never try
So I will sail my vessel
    Till the river runs dry

There's bound to be rougher waters
And I know I'll take some falls
But with the good Lord as my captain
I can make it through them all... YES

    I will sail my vessel
    Till the river runs dry
Like a bird upon the wind
    These waters are my sky
    I'll never reach my destination
    If I never try
So I will sail my vessel
    Till The river runs dry

Yes, I will sail my vessel
    Till the river runs dry
    Till the river runs dry

I see my niece and nephews growing up and I know they have dreams that they have had since they were little and knowing they want to acheive those dreams and I hope that no matter what the obstacles that may come their way that they will over come them and finally acheive what they hope and dream for.

Dreams of our futures are so real and alive and they can continue like that as long as we never give up when we come upon a brick wall.. We have to break down the wall and be able to get what we want..

I stil have dreams that I have and I still hope one day they will come true.. and I will keep running my vessel till the river runs dry!

    Tori...

Yesterday, Tori and Mary asked me if Tori can spend the night with me last night due to Mary is going with my parents to a meeting today and Tori didn't want to stay home with the "boys" so she rather stay with me..

it wasn't long before they were gone and Tori helped me get the air mattress inside the house and I got the air in it etc. and fixed up the bed for Tori.. I sat down on the love seat to watch the tv for a while while Tori read some magazines etc. when she got done we switched over to Lifetime channel and watched tv but I finally gave up and told Tori I'm going to bed and gave her the remote control and then I went on to bed.. I have NO idea what time Tori went to sleep but anyway..

This morning I've been up since 7 30 and Tori is still asleep at 9 am but that's ok.. I am getting the chance to do this hehe.. She'll kill me ;)

I took this picture and decided to post it on my blog to show her how much I love her as my own daughter..

    Tori sleeping in this morning..

    My Cousin Joshua

I wanted to post about my cousin Joshua.. I know Mary's posted about him in her blog but I thought I'd post one here..

Joshua is my cousin on my dad's side.. He is the son of Murphy who is my Dad's brother.. Josh is now 18 years old and soon gonna be 19 in June.. I talked to him on the messenger a few times and this past week I called him on my cell phone from work and he sounds so much different.. he sounds more like a Man instead of the little kid that I remember him as..

Joshua had moved out to California and he was excited about it but after a short while he realizes he missed being home and wanted to go back so now as I'm typing this, he is on his way back home to Indiana where my Uncle Murphy lives.. He left California on a train and headed back up there..

The one memory I have of Josh is the time that Josh and Elizabeth were living with us and I had to walk Joshua to school which was about 3 or 4 blocks away from where we were living at the time and I just remember having to walk there and I know we had a few good talks back then but I just can't remember what we talked about but I just know we did talk and had fun back then.. I remember back then Power Rangers had just came on tv and it was the most popular thing out there.. I liked watching it at the age of 18 go figure LOL

Just knowing I have the memory of him that way being like 7 or 8 years old and then now talking to him on the phone and he's 18 soon to be 19 it's like.. WHERE DID TIME GO?!?!?!

But I am very proud of Joshua, he is a very smart kid who graduated from high school, I found out that on his mom's side (she has 4 kids) Joshua is the only one who graduated from high school.. So I am very Proud of him.. I am hoping he does well in his life now, that he is on "own" and will start leading his life the way he wants to have it turn out..

I told Joshua that he looks so much like his daddy and my daddy and he said yeah he does but I also told him now he knows what he'll look like when he gets older and I laughed when he said OH DON'T TELL ME THAT!!! He said he is the better looking one out of all 3 LOL .. He is a true WYNN!!!!

I am hoping soon when he gets his things settled down maybe next year I can convince him to come down and visit us!!! I know he and Justin would get along so good since they both have a lot in common..

I don't have a picture of Joshua on here from when he was younger and living with us but I do have the picture he had given to me by e mail.. so here it is...

    Been told I'm Crazy!!!

Hi Everybody!!! Well since My last post.. I've been told I've gone crazy hehe.. Let me tell you why..

Before we got our fence put up about a week before, We had gotten our new puppy that was 8 weeks old (Now 10 weeks old) that is a lab/american terrier.. now that I know that is a pit bull but at the time I didn't know..

So when we had our fence put up and have 2 dogs in the fenced in area it was really good.. but I told Robert I STILL WANT A LAB!!! So he was going yeah ok sure whatever.. Not thinking that I'd really be serious about getting another dog.. He must not know me that well hehe..

I went looking online and saw in the paper there was a new website here in knoxville where people can post for free instead of going to the newspaper and paying for an ad.. So i went looking and at the time I wasn't really thinking about getting a full grown lab.. just a puppy or whatever and not really right now either in the near future at least.. BUT.....

I saw this lady who posted about wanting to give away 2 dogs.. 1 is a 3 year old Lab and another is a 2 year old beagle mix dog.. and people asked about the dogs etc. but when someone asked where she was located.. she said Clinton I was like hmmmm... So I asked her if she could send me a picture and she did and I just fell in love with her already so I begged Robert to at least consider it.. So we went and looked at her and as soon as we walked up the steps.. She had her tail wagging and licking our hands just being so friendly.. So I told Robert I wanted her so the lady let us take the leash..

So let me tell ya a bit about our new additions..
Daisy is a 3 year old Pure bred yellow Lab who is just a sweetheart...

May, who is our 10 week old puppy is a Lab/Pit Bull , The Vet said she has more Pit Bull in her than a lab so I'm hoping that she has the personality as a Lab..

So now I have 3 dogs and 3 cats.. and I think that's completes our family..I'm posting pics of Daisy and May..

    The Fence is DONE!!!

Thanks to Bucky, Dad, Robert, Ryan, Tori, Mary and everyone else who helped... THE FENCE IS DONE!!!

I'm posting a picture to show that Robert DID help with the fence this morning before Bucky, and the rest of the crew got here Robert was outside putting some fence ties on so we'd get it out of the way.. and also after the fence was done some pictures of Max enjoying his freedom FINALLY!!!

When we were done and Dad gave me the go ahead to let max out of the kennel.. Max came out and stopped to wait for me to put the "tie out" on him which is clipped onto his collar and I just said Go on Max Run.. and man did he run!! so here's some pictures..

    Our Fence...

Well... Today we FINALLY started working on our fencing on the yard!!! IT is ALMOST DONE!!! Tomorrow we will finish the small part that we didn't get to do tonight but OH BOY IT'S ALMOST DONE!!!!!!!!!!!

I am sooo appreciative of Bucky and Mary and Daddy, and Tori and Ryan who all came and helped us one way or another to make this finally happen.. Robert and I are grateful to them!!

Robert helped a lot today and as much as he won't admit it.. I think he had a good time actually doing this ;) he was upset that we didn't get to finish this today!! LOL he wanted to keep on working while we all said we'd wait till tomorrow..

I am posting some pictures and sadly, Robert wasn't in the pics because he was behind the camera!! But I'll get him somehow lol maybe tomorrow I'll take a picture of him working on the fence..

This is where the "lined off" area was where we had decided to put the posts for fence...

The other side (Left side) of the house where we're gonna fence off...

Bucky and Daddy working on the post to make sure it's even and leveled out..

These are all that I'm gonna post.. but tomorrow I'll post some more pictures of the fenced area!! I'm SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO EXCITED!!!!

    If You're Going Through Hell....

Hi Everybody.. yup that's right I'm back with another song :-) ... This one is by Rodney Atkins who actually is from our area here in East Tenn.. he sings another song I like about Honesty.. but with this new song I just fell in love with it.. because everyone has bad times and feels like nothing could be worse but then something happens and it does get worse.. so here's the song and I'll say something at the end where I'll explain when I went through something..

    Artist/Band: Rodney Atkins
Lyrics for Song: If You're Going Through Hell

    Well you know those times
When you fel like there's a sign there on your back
Says I don't mind if ya kick me
    Seems like everybody has
Things go from bad to worse
You'd think they can't get worse than that
    And then they do

You still walk the straight and narrow
And you don't know where you are
Use the needle of your compass
To sew up your broken heart
    Ask directions from a genie
In a bottle of Jim Beam
    And she lies to you
That's when you learn the truth

    If you're going through hell
Keep on going, Don't slow down
If you're scared, don't show it
    You might get out
Before the devil even knows you're there

Well I been deep down in that darkness
I been down to my last match
    Felt a hundred different demons
    Breathing fire down my back
And I knew that if I stumbled
I'd fall right into the trap that they were laying, Yeah

    But the good news
Is there's angels everywhere out on the street
Holding out a hand to pull you back upon your feet
The one's that you been dragging for so long
    You're on your knees
You might as well be free
    Guess what I'm saying
    If you're going through hell
Keep on going, Don't slow down
If you're scared, Don't show it
    You might get out
Before the devil even knows you're there

Yeah, If you're going through hell
Keep on moving, face that fire
    Walk right through it
    You might get out
Before the devil even knows you're there

    If you're going through hell
Keep on going, Don't slow down
If you're scared, Don't show it
    You might get out
Before the devil even knows you're there

Yeah, If you're going through hell
Keep on moving, Face that fire
    Walk right through it
    You might get out
Before the devil even knows you're there
    Yeah, you might get out
Before the devil even knows you're there
    Yeah..

There's been times in my life I felt like I was going through a lot of hell but somehow I always got pulled out of it by those who I love the most.. I've been suicidal parts of my life when I was a teenager, when I was going through my divorce etc. and somehow I had those who I love around and me and they helped me just like the angels in this song who are everywhere in the streets.. They helped me because they love me :)

Now when things seem impossible.. I know that I can turn to my sister, and mom and know that I can lean on them when I need to, and They can lean on me when they go through something bad..
