    Snoopy???

This Friday, Robert and I are getting a 3rd (dog) baby.. but the 6th Baby in our family... We are getting a (by friday) 9 week old Beagle puppy.. Like I told mom, I don't know how well it will be with a beagle pup and our 2 dogs.. I am hoping everything will be ok but if not.. We will be able to find her a home very easily... But I am hoping everything works out because this puppy is soooo cute and will be a good dog!!

At first I came up with the name that is very common for Beagles which is Snoopy.. But last night I thought of Bessie Mae for her name but that made Robert tear up so I am not sure if we will name her Bessie.. Maybe we will stay with Snoopy..

This pup is tri color, and has a cute long ear!! when She was handed to me she just wagged her tail so fast it was funny and she licked all over me!! Robert tried to look like he wasn't intrested in a pup but as soon as I put this puppy in his face she started licking his nose and he broke down LOL!!! how can you say no to a puppy that starts licking you all over!! hehe.. it was cute

I asked the people if they could hold the puppy till Friday because I wanted to make sure I could focus all my time this week with Puggly since she had her surgery coming up(already done) and they said yes we could pick her up Friday!!!

I can't wait and I've never owned a purebreed dog.. it's always been a mixed breed dog.. but this time a real pure breed.. she is AKC registered so it is gonna be a fun time with this puppy...

When we get her home maybe i'll know if I really wanna keep her name as Snoopy or change it.. But of course we'll get pictures and I MIGHT post a picture of her hehe...

    Until then.....

    Puggly

Yesterday, Robert took Puggly for her appointment with the vet. She was scheduled to go under the "knife" as we have decided to have her spayed.. Robert dropped her off and went onto work, So Puggly was really unsure of what was going on.. Robert said she was shaking so badly that he could notice it.. I am sure she was really scared going to a place she didn't recognize and not having us with her or Max with her..

Around 10:30 I called the vet's office and they said she did just fine during the surgery and she was just waking up when I called.. It made me happy to know she did well, But still at 2:30 I called again to check on her.. ( yes she's my baby and I was gonna be a pest to them) they said she was doing just fine and could go anytime.. So I told them that I would pick her up after I got off work.. So the next 2 hours I was really anxious to get outta there!! At 4:15 I left work and went to the vet's office and picked her up.. She was of course shaking and was trying so hard to get away from the lady who handed her to me.. she clawed my neck as hard as she could to get further away...

I brought her home and she was happy to be home and she laid down on the couch with me for a short time then she got down and went to a dog bed she had and just suddenly started throwing up.. This of course worried me but she was ok and she went into her crate and laid down and stayed there for a while.. when I went back to the couch after eating supper.. she came over and wanted to be with me.. She laid down with me and I didn't want to move her so Robert had to do things I needed him to do so that way I could comfort Puggly..

At about 9 pm I put puggly up in her crate and shut the door and she settled in the night and she stayed there till morning.. when we were getting ready for work I really was scared to leave Puggly alone in the house but I had no choice but to go to work.. Max stayed outside all day while I left puggly in the house with full access to the house.. I think she liked this!! at 5 pm I left work and I hurried home and I was bracing myself for what I would find inside the house (YIKES) But thankfully there was not a mess in the house!! no clothes pulled in the living room from the bedroom, no shoes chewed up, no messes from her whatsoever.. All i found was 1 spot where she pee'd and that was it.. She was happy I got home and she tried to run to the back door and I let her outside.. she did her business while I searched the house to make sure she didn't do anything that i missed but nope.. not a thing she did!! Robert and I are so proud of Puggly she is such a good girl!!! She may just have proved something to us that she can roam around.. but ummm.. I think we will wait on that!!! :)

She still has some restrictions like no jumping, running for 4-5 days so I gotta make sure she doesn't over do herself.. Wouldn't want my baby to have complications!!

See I do spoil my babies!!! :-D

Holes In the Floor of Heaven

    Artist/Band: Steve Wariner
Lyrics for song: Holes in the Floor of Heaven

One day shy of eight years old, my grandma passed away
I was a broken hearted little boy, blowing out that birthday cake
How I cried when the sky let go, with a cold and lonesome rain,
mama smiled, said don't be sad child, grandma's watching you today

Cause there's holes in the floor of heaven
and her tears are pouring down,
and that's how you know she's watching,
wishing she could be here now,
    and sometimes if you're lonely,
    Just remember she can see,
there's holes in the floor of heaven,
and she's watching over you and me,

Seasons come, and seasons go, nothing stays the same
I grew up , fell in love, met a girl who took my name
year by year, we made al ife in this sleepy little town
I thought we'd grow old together, Lord I sure do miss her now

But there's holes in the floor of heaven,
and her tears are pouring down,
    that's how I know she's watching,
Wishing she could be here now,
    and sometimes when I'm lonely,
    I remember she can see,
There's holes in the floor of heaven,
and she's watching over you and me,

Well my little girl is twenty-thhree, I walk her down the aisle
It's a shame her mom can't be here now, to see her lovely smile
they throw the rice, I catch her eye, as the rain starts coming down
She takes my hand, says daddy don't be sad,
Cause I know mama's watching now

And there's holes in the floor of heaven,
and her tears are pouring down,
That's how you know she's watching,
Wishing she could be here now,
    and sometimes when I'm lonely
    I remember she can see
Yes there's holes in the floor of heaven,
and she's watching over you and me

    watching over you and me
    watching over you and me

    Bessie Mae Shea

Bessie Mae Shea as I know her "Mae" has passed away yesterday morning.. She has been fighting a battle for as long as I have known her. Which I have known her for almost 5 Years. But the last few months has been a hard battle and she is finally now at peace.. She was in UT hospital for the last 3 months in and out of different floors, and that includes the ICU.

Mae has always been considered a sister to the McMillan family, But to me she was my "mother in law" since I never got to meet Robert's mother. Mae came in close to being his mother. I loved her so much and I still do.

Mae once told me one day when we went to visit her. she said "Sandy, Never EVER go without a day telling the one you love.. that you love them. because one day you won't have that chance.. It'll be too late" and then she said " I love you both very much and don't ever forget that" The last time we went to visit Mae I never did hug her or tell her bye or that I loved her. I was having some sinus problems and I didn't want to get her worse if I had something that could make her even more sicker. I walked out of the room without even telling her anything and now looking back. I wish I had said something to her. I never did think this would be it..

There is a new song out for about a couple of months and it was played this morning on the radio and when I heard it, It made me think of Mae and all the loved ones that I have lost and so I of course started to cry which wasn't a good thing because I was on the way to work.. So I wanna post this song...

    Artist/Band: Joe Nichols
Lyrics for song: I'll wait for you

The snow in Montana was three feet high
The lady at the counter said there's no flights
And so he called her on the telephone
He said I'll rent a car and I'll drive home

And she said I'll wait for you
    Like I did last year
At christmas time with your family here
And your truck broke down in San Antone
And the gifts stayed wrapped until you got home
    Oh, this ain't nothing new
    Sweetheart, I'll wait for you

Now he's on his cell phone in a Coupe Deville
Talkin to the one he loves and always will
His heart is breakin cause she's there alone
Her heart is aching cause she wants him home
She says I'll wait for you like in 68'
When our child was due, but I said he'll have to wait
Until his dad gets here and stands by my side
Remember, Dear our son's first cry
    oh, this ain't nothing new
    Sweetheart I'll wait for you

he didn't stop all day to eat a bite
And finally got there around midnight
The doctor said, She's in a better place
She said to give you this note just in case

And it said, I'll wait for you at heaven's gate
Oh, I don't care how long it takes
And I'll tell Saint Pete I can't come in
Without my love and my best friend
    Oh, this ain't nothin new
    Sweetheart, I'll wait for you
    P.S. I love you too
    Sweetheart, I'll wait for you

This song is just the one of the two that I felt is how I know Mae is probably saying. I'll wait for you at the gate.. because that's the kind of person she is..

Mae, Sleep tight and We Love You!!
