    Our Day Trip

Yesterday Robert and I went to Cookeville to Burgess Fall State park where his sister and brother in law went.. Robert wanted to go so off we went yesterday :)

When we got there we sat at a picnic table and ate lunch then we started the trail.. now this place has 3/4 mile trail where you can walk through the trail and see 3 waterfalls.. what I like to call the daddy, mommy, and baby waterfall..

Almost immediately starting the trail you see the baby waterfall and it was cute to see a little waterfall.. but walk just up a little more and there's a overlook where we can get a better view of it and we took some pictures of it and it had a bench where you could sit and enjoy the view..

Walk up some trail where I absolutely panicked!!! see I don't mind walking but where there's steps etc. I MUST have railing which this one had steps some that had railing some didn't.. but some of the steps were really "big" and my poor little legs couldn't get me up the step.. Robert had to help me with these steps.. but he could tell in my voice that I was really scared when got rocks on one side and walking on a very very narrow path then on the other side of me is just a "drop off" into the trees and water... Then FINALLY we got to the "Middle Falls" which I like to call the Mommy Falls.. it was realy pretty but after finally calming down I couldn't really appreciate the beauty of it...

Robert asked me if I wanted to stay there and he go on to the big water fall and he'd come back for me.. I said NO WAY!!! I wasn't gonna just stand around where I could encounter Snakes etc. nope so I told him i'd try my best to get there... We saw a lady coming back towards our way so Robert asked her how far it was to the next fall.. she said oh it's not that far just right up ahead.. (in my mind i was thinking just around the curve here!!) NOPE but it wasn't that far thankfully and the walk was pretty much on level ground.. we made it to the BIG FALL!!! which was really pretty.. just to see the rocks and the water etc. there is a trail that can take you to the base of the fall but i was like NO WAY am I going down there!!! Robert didnt' want to go down there either so we just took some pics and sat down and rested for a while... when we had approached the big fall we saw a sign pointing to steps that said "to the parking lot" so I was GLAD that we didn't have to go back on the trail to our car..

We walked up the steps and was met by just gravel road.. so Robert and I thought... Mmmmm not too bad maybe it's just a short road down there to the parking lot.. Then we walked and walked and WALKED!! it was another 3/4 mile BACK to the parking lot.. Should've known!! we went up and down the road and finally saw the parking lot and our sweet car!!! As soon as I got in I turned on the AC to get cooled off AHHHHHHHHHH!!!!

See, I don't mind walking and Robert needs to walk and exercise but dang just wasn't expecting that much!! I told robert I was gonna get his sister for this he laughed.. I did enjoy our trip though.. it was good and the weather was wonderful it wasnt' hot like in humid hot but it was warm enough to enjoy the cool breeze that came our way at times..

    Our New Car

    Hey there!!!

Well, I tried to post in the last few days but I lost my post when I stopped the publishing after it kept saying 0% for like 15 mins I gave up so then after getting mad I gave up and so now i'm finally now posting!!

Anyway, Friday afternoon Robert and I went looking at cars up on the Airport Motor Mile in Alcoa where there's like MILLIONS of cars for sale up there but anyway.. we went and we told the lady that we wanted a Honda or Toyota (this was a Nissan Dealership) and she said she'd see if they had anything that fell into our price range.. after about an 1 1/2 hour she came back said they couldn't find anything in our price range but that they had Nissan in our price range.. she took us out to see a 2004 and a 2005 model.. Of course Robert and I wanted the 2005 but we didnt' have any more for down payment besides our trade in so the lady said we could easily get the 2004 Car..

Robert and I wanted to test drive the car so off we went test driving it.. Robert drove it for about a mile and then we switched and I drove back to the dealership.. we both agreed that we liked it on how it drove etc. so we told the lady we wanted it.. and I'M GLAD WE DID!!!!

But of course I was more concerned about the insurance on the car since it was a 2004 I wanted to make sure that we could afford both the monthly payments and the insurance Luckily it wasn't 5 pm yet I called the insurance company and found the ins. wasn't as bad as I thought it was so I told Robert we could afford it.. He was happy and so was I.. we got in the office and we signed away our life for the next 5 years LOL but it's worth it to get a better car for Robert to drive to work etc. since his car was really in bad need of repairs and things that we really couldnt' afford to fix so we decided it was best to just trade it in..

Yesterday we gave the car a "real good test" as we went out of town to Crossville, and Cookeville and WOW how the car really handled the road.. I barely used the gas and it went to 80 mph in no time.. I had to be really careful on how fast I was going :( LOL but it had real good power on the car so I'm happy about that.. So it Passed the "Sandra McMillan" Test ;) hehe...

So anyway here's the pictures of the car.. it's a 2004 Nissan Sentra and yes it's blue!! LOL Robert and I just love BLUE since his last car (Ford Focus) was a Blue car too but this is a different shade of Blue...

Well time sure has flown by soooo quick and we've reached our 2nd wedding anniversary.. Like mom said this morning.. it feels like it should be just my 1st anniversary but no it's my 2nd!!!

Robert and I took a week off from work FINALLY!!! and just pretty much taking day trips going different places.. yesterday we went to Gatlinburg and went to several different places there.. we got some pictures at the Ripley's Aquarium but that's about it.. mostly got it all on video...

Tomorrow, after my dr appt we're gonna go do some other stuff just not sure exactly what and where.. I'm looking forward to our trip to Cookeville on Saturday i'm sure then we will have PLENTY of pictures then from that one cause we're gonna go to the flea market, the water falls etc. we found out about some places from my sister in law Jo Ann.. so i'm looking forward to it :) although it doesn't make me feel that great that i'd be missing a family dinner on Saturday with my family .. I know, change the date of going to Cookeville but i can't go on Sunday, and they can't change it to Sunday :( But I'm sure my family will keep us in their minds while they eat all that good food hehe... Right sis?!?!
