    Our New/Old Couch/Loveseat

A friend who I met through Mary and Bucky.. in fact I only met her about a couple of weeks ago had e mailed me yesterday morning and asked if I was intrested in getting her couch and loveseat since she was getting a new one.. and I of course wanted it without seeing it but I did ask her for pictures and then showed Robert.. He said he wanted it.. So that started some e mails and me talking to mary about getting it..

This evening my dad and bucky went to Vicki's house and picked up the couch and loveseat for me and brought it to my house and even though it's an used one.. I LOVE IT!!!! the colors pretty much match my carpet and the wall and the border around my living room.. I'm THRILLED to have this.. compared to the couch we had.. it was really falling apart and now we have this.. and what more is that we actually have a couch AND a loveseat.. we didnt' have a loveseat before so when we had my whole family here we didn't have enough seats!!! and I felt bad but but not anymore!!!

After we released our cats out of being "closed" up while moving the old couch out and bringing in the new ones.. our cats got pretty comfy on the new couch.. especially Monkey.. he's on the couch while I was taking the pictures.. so u'll see him there!! I'll attach 3 of them..

Vicki.. THANKS SOOO MUCH.. I can't ever stop thanking you for your generous thoughts on asking us if we would want it... you have NO idea how much we needed this!!!

This one is kinda dark but hmm oh well.. at least u can kinda see it!!

Monkey on the far end of the couch..

    The Carver's Dedication

    Hi Everyone!!

Sorry it took so long to get on here and post about the dedication.. But here I am FINALLY.. of course you didnt' have to wait toooo long.. since it was just 2 days ago.. but it feels like it was yesterday!!

The day was sooo beautiful and the dedication went without a hitch!! I was nervous since I really am not that good in doing public speaking and didn't have my devotion memorized so had to have a piece of paper in my hand and read off what I /Robert had came up with for the Devotion.. and here's what I had said ...

Thank you for coming on such a beautiful and wonderful day to celebrate the dedication of the new home for the Carver's.

This Journey started back in 2003, but is not yet completed. The Journey is still on going for you and the family. The Journey of finally moving in to this wonderful new home, making new friends, starting a new life on Wakeman Lane, and the Journey will continue on through the years to come and will never come to an end.

I ask you this question my friends…What is a house? A house is a home, and a home is 4 walls, and a roof, some windows and doors, but a home is so much more than that.
A home is a place that you can come back to when you have no other place to go. A home is a place to sit beside the fireplace on a cold winter’s morning and read to your children their favorite story. A home is a place where you can cuddle with the one that you love on a long cold winter night, or a place to just sit and relax while watching television after a long hard day at work.

A home is a place where you can invite family and friends over to spend quality and meaningful time together, while dining on your favorite dishes, or maybe just catching up on the latest news or gossip.

This home that Mary, Bucky, Justin, Tori & Ryan, Prepare to move into soon, is a home built with love, warmth, compassion, caring, and sweat. A home built by their friends, family, volunteers, and by themselves as well. A home for them to enjoy and to cherish for years to come, thanks to Habitat For Humanity, and to you my friends.
You can all be proud to stand here today in awe of this miracle that you have worked so hard to accomplish, with the help of Habitat, you and God.

Mary, Bucky, Justin, Tori and Ryan:
Your home was built by those who were working through God's love and compassion and built you this home that is strong and can not be shaken, for this home was built to give his children a decent place to live and also to be warm and safe.

"He is like a man which built an house, and digged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock."
    Luke 6:48

    Amen,

What was so great was with my devotion, and the song that was sung by Teresa Seales it was all about the same thing so it worked out sooo great!! and we didn't know what the other was gonna say or in her case sing..

There was not a dry eye in the crowd from the song it was just sooo beautiful.. EVEN I CRIED!! and I had to do my devotion right after this song which was soo hard NOT to cry while I was saying the devotion.. But I think I did a good job hehe..

But, I am glad that the dedication went great from the weather, to how it went from each person doing their part, to the touring of the house, to everyone saying how wonderful the house looks.. WHICH IT DOES!!! the inside is just sooo beautiful.. it's hard to imagine that this is a habitat house!! it looks like it's "fancy" made for people with money.. BUT of course that's my own opinion but I just love this house.. I am determined to have a house like this!!! ;)

I don't have pics of this day on my computer, My dad had e mailed me the pics but like a dummy I had deleted them :( But don't worry.. I can always get the pics and when I do, I'll post one up here!! but NOT OF ME!!! ROFL..

well that's about it.. I'll talk to ya later!!!

    Dogsitting

Today, I'm dogsitting Angel.. Angel is my sister's family newest addition.. she's a rat terrier mix and such a wonderful puppy!!

I told Mary that once I bring Angel over here she's legally mine.. but of course i'm just kidding her.. but I just love angel.. she looks like 2 of the dogs my family used to have.. Lady and Bingo (mother and daughter) Angel has the colors of Bingo and some of the spots on her back is just like Bingo, but on the face part. is almost like Lady.. because Lady had brown face.. and Angel has solid black.. but just like having 2 dogs in one..

Robert and I think it's hilarious right now because Angel keeps chasing after one of my cat Monkey and barking and very obvious wanting to play!! but Monkey doesn't know what to make out of this.. usually the cats have been pretty much able to show dogs that come into this home that they are the boss but Angel doesn't either know that or care lol.. she doesn't bother Squeekers or Carmel.. she just likes Monkey!!

Angel is just absolutely a great puppy.. and very smart!! Mary are you sure I can't have Angel?!?!?!?! hehe

But just to mention WHY i'm dogsitting tonight.. Tomorrow is the Carver's dedication of their new house.. Bucky's family from NC is coming for the dedication so they are spending the night in Oak Ridge at a motel so the whole family can spend time together.. they couldn't stay at mary's house (the one they live at now) because there's just simply sooo many of them coming!! Lucky ducks though cause there's a indoor swimming pool!! I would've LOVED going into a pool right now!! hehe..anyway.. I'll post about the dedication tomorrow.. because I wanted to post the devotion I am doing for Mary but I can't do it right now cause Mary doesn't know what i'm planning on saying it's a surprise so tomorrow I'll post it :-)

    Here's a pic of Angel!!

    Jesus Was A Country Boy

Jesus was A Country Boy By Clay Walker (country singer)

I stumbled on a preacher, Sunday morning,
All decked out and made up for TV,
Askin' for some money from God's people:
    Talking all that high theology.

Well, I might be just an old blue collar:

There's things about the Lord that I don't know.
But I bet he never had a million dollars,
Or wore a lot of stylish fancy clothes.

'Cause Jesus was a country boy,

    Walkin' down a dirt road,
    with everything that he owned,
    He never met a stranger.
Born in a barn underneath the stars,
His Mama laid him in a manger.
    Swimmin' in the river,
    fishin' for his dinner,
Livin' with the sinners like me.
Makes me think, Jesus was a country boy.

My Daddy never cared much for religion,

And my Mama worried a lot about his soul.
She'd hit her knees and pray for him on Sunday,
While Daddy hit his favorite fishin' hole.

You see, Daddy was a rebel and a rambler,

But I always knew he loved my Mama so.
An' I never doubted he'd make it to Heaven,
'Cause it ain't who you are, it's who you know.

    An' Daddy knew:

that Jesus was a country boy
    ,Walkin' down a dirt road,
    with everything that he owned
    ,He never met a stranger.
Born in a barn underneath the stars,
His Mama laid him in a manger.
Swimmin' in the river, fishin' for his dinner,
Livin' with the sinners like me.
Makes me think, Jesus was a country boy.
Oh, yes, and I believe that Jesus was a country boy.

this is a new song that has come out and I just loved it the 1st time I heard it!!

    The Pony Ride

This is a story about what happened to me when I was approximately 6 or 7 years old.. I was living in Wendell North Carolina..

At this time as I recall it... since this happend over 20 years ago so my memory may not serve me right but anyway..My mom took my sister and me to what is now grounds of Wendell Elementary school.. I remember they were having a "carnival" there to raise money for the new school that was to be built there or was it a Halloween Carnival?? hmmm Mary do you remember?? ANYWAY.....They had games, and just different stuff but of course they had this pony ride that they have for kids.. so Mary and I wanted to ride the ponies so we went in line...

There was a short line and it wasn't long before it was our turn to get on those little sweet looking ponies, I remember they had like 3 or 4 ponies that were hooked up to go in circles.. the man put mary (my sister) on the pony.. and then put me on another pony right behind my sister.. and we went around the circle.. by the time we went around the 1st time I remember thinking something ain't right!!! and I was right.. the saddle became loose and I was falling off the LITTLE PONY!! I remember just looking at stuff upside down and I was like HELP!!!!

As it was.. the guy who owned the ponies didnt' check the saddle and so the saddle was coming off and I was on it so hence.. I had to come off the pony WITH the saddle.. i remember hanging upside down with the saddle.. I was scared and everyone was laughing.. I remember once I was untangled from the saddle that I told my mom I wanted to go home!! so mom, mary and I went home..

To this day.. I like looking at horses but I DO NOT like riding horses.. ever since that experience over 20 years ago.. I won't forget that night!! and of course.. Mary doesn't EVER let me forget that night.. she brings it up every time she can!!

Robert.. Now that doesn't mean you can laugh at me!!! :-P

    Here I am!!

    Hi I'm back!!!

I have been pretty busy the last few days so I've not been really able to sit down and think of what I'm gonna post but here I am now!!

I would like to first welcome sweet adorable Angel to our family!! She is such an adorable Puppy.. maybe I'll sneak over to my sister's house and take Angel away and bring her back here LOL... Angel loved my cat Monkey and played with him when Mary brought her over here.. it was cute watching those 2 together..

I've been busy with working and trying to get my hours back from those I lost last week.. ugh.. only so many hours a day to make up my hours!! but I will love that overtime hehe... I really do like my job.. and like my co worker Carol said today.. "Sandra you're strange.." hehe.. well I"m probably the only auditor there (only 4 of us) that actually like.. no LOVE the job.. But today I was actually bored cause there was really not much work to do.. but I was there from 7 30 AM till 5 30 this evening.. actually I was stuck at work till 5 30 but still.. OVERTIME!!

Robert's car is out of service right now due to the brakes.. Hopefully we'll be able to get his car back in tip top shape so we can be back to 2 cars!! He hates to get up earlier than usual hehe.. But I think he actually likes taking me to work.. he just won't admit it ;)

well.. Guess I'm gonna close this Post for now.. I'll be back soon with a new Post.. whatever I can think of... hehe..

    Rain...

Sometime yesterday it started to rain here in East TN... at first I didn't realize it because it was raining lightly and with the air conditioner running I didn't realize it was rain that I was actually hearing and not the air conditioner.. I looked out the window and smiled because I was glad it was actually here finally!!! the rain from Frances!!

You see, I love rain.. especially rain that comes with thundering and lightening.. I feel like it's more romantic I guess hehe.. but anyway.. this light rain we've had all day yesterday and all night has caused problems for driving around here.. I was just watching the noon news today and saw a car lose control and went down an embankment but as badly the damages this car had gotten.. the driver was only treated for minor injuries..

I know sometimes nothing can be avoided but I'm sure that a lot of drivers can avoid accidents if they don't speed so much on these wet slick roads.. yeah I know what Robert would say.. YEAH PRACTICE WHAT YOU SAY!!! hehe I do speed a bit but NOT on a wet road though.. Nothing is that important if I gotta speed and hurt myself or someone in my car or in the other car...

Please remember.. SLOW DOWN.. You never know what will happen.. you won't know what is around the bend or over the hill.. if you're speeding you won't have the chance to stop safely!!!

    Patty

Patty Reed.. what can I say about Patty??? well she is another friend I met online.. she came into a room that me and another woman had started for truck drivers and families/friends and Patty's husband at the time was also a truck driver.. So she had a lot of sleepless nights waiting for her husband to come home..

Patty has a daughter name Anna who is now 13 years old and Anna sure does give her a headache daily going through those teenage stages.. But Patty makes it through of course.. Patty just recently moved back to her homestate..Let me backtrack a bit...

Patty met Dave online and flew out to CA to meet him in person and not long after that they got married..She and Anna moved to CA to his homestate near his family and lived there for about 6 or 7 years and finally Patty had convinced Dave to move to Ky.. How she did that is beyond me cause he is such a hard headed man!!! well it's true!! Men are such hard headed people I've ever known!! hehe

They now live there and Patty is happy being back near her family.. She had it rough living in CA with police abuse in that small tiny town and how Anna was trying to get through school and the kids making fun of her and stuff.. Anna has had it rough and I think living in Ky is gonna help them both heal from their past..

I know Patty misses some things about Ca like her step daughter Rachel and granddaughter Jade.. she misses them so much but hopefully one day they can come down to Ky to visit..but until then I guess they do talk on the phone when possible..

I Just got this pic of Patty and Anna so here it is..... one day Robert and I are planning to go up and visit them one day.. we were suppose to go this month but with Robert's training we had to postpone the trip to Ky.. so maybe next spring :)

Guess that's about all I can say about Patty right now.. maybe later I'll post some more stuff about her and Anna ..

    Patty with her daughter Anna

    My Friend Geri

Geri Passi is a lady I had met in MSN chat room and we had instantly became friends.. She stayed up late into the nights talking to me and helping me feel better about my life and the divorce I was facing with my ex husband David..

Geri has gone through the same thing as I have as far as a divorce goes through but she had it rougher than I did.. she had 5 kids with her ex husband and she was trying to raise them the best she could.. she has 1 son and 4 daughters.. well NOW she has 6 kids!! she has gained a new daughter Chy who is now almost 2 years old.. her oldest son is in the war in Iraq but is expected to come home in a few more weeks.. he'll be coming home to a thrilled family awaiting his arrival.. he has a wife and a baby son who he didn't get to spend much time with before it was time to leave for Iraq..

Geri, is a very special person and anyone is very lucky to have her as a friend.. She would do what she could to help that person.. She was wanting me to move to Chicago when she lived there and I was ready to go but something happend and I couldnt' go.. but Now looking back I'm glad cause then I might've not met Robert hehe..

Geri now lives in Ky with her boyfriend and her daughters and she just loves living there in Ky and I don't think could ever pull her out of there if our lives depended on it lol.. She has always been a country girl at heart I guess.. and Chicago just isn't for a country hearted person!!!
I know because I've been there and I don't think I would've lasted long there if I had moved there!!

Now I would just like to meet her in person now instead of just talking online!! we've been friends online for 3 years this month!! time sure has flown by so quickly...Well here is a picture of Geri with her daughter Chrissy at her graduation this past May or June..

    Another Friend

I don't have much friends in my life but there is a few that I do consider friends.. and this one is Sarita..

Sarita and I both met in Scranton PA at a JR NAD conference and ever since then we have been friends.. we have a lot in common which is really neat and I'll tell ya why in the next paragraph.. but Sarita and her husband Larry has been wonderful friends taking me in when at one time I wanted to run from my depression at the time they were barely married a year and they let me come in and live with them for a few months and tried to help me get back to being "alive"....

First of all, Sarita and I both were born in Nov of 1975.. I'm exactly 2 weeks older than her but it doesn't feel like it lol..
Second of all, Sarita and I both have Polycystic ovaries syndrome (PCOS) which yes now is becoming more common to find in women but for both of us to be friends and end up both of us having it was kinda weird.. so she knows how I feel about having PCOS and I know how she feels.. but she has been more luckier than I have been with the symptoms.. She doesn't have them as bad as I do..

Sarita has really been a good friend to me and there is so much that I have to be thankful to Sarita and Larry and don't really know how to repay them with all the generous help they had given me and I hope in one day I will be able to give them something to repay for what they have done for me..

I really can't stop going on and on about how good of people that Sarita and Larry is.. they are wonderful people and I love them both!!

I do although have 1 funny story about the 3 of us!!! and here it is.... Sarita and Larry remember this?!?!?!?

It was my birthday, Nov. 14th 2001 and I was living with them and they decided to take me out to eat for my birthday.. they came home told me to get ready and we were going out and I really didnt' want to but I went ... we went to the steak house that they had taken me to before.. for some reason right now the name of the resturant isn't in my brain right now but anyway.. we were getting ready to order..I made my order and so did Sarita, Larry was the last to order.. and I was not really paying attention at first about what Larry was doing but I did see him ask Sarita for a pen and that was the end of what I was (paying attention) to Larry.. until the waitress was ready to take Larry's order.. He "Sneezed" into the napkin and opened up the napkin to show the waitress and I was going OMG!!! Larry what is wrong with you!!! even the waitress was shocked but Larry kept on like not a thing was wrong!! he made his order so I just assumed he had wrote his order on the napkin...
At the end of the dinner and I was talking to Sarita about a job that I had looked into getting at the local nursing home that I was hoping I could get etc. I heard clapping hands and I looked up and i just couldn't believe it... all the resturant waiters and waitresses were coming at me!!! and singing happy birthday and of course I could feel my face turning red and I just wanted to crawl under the table.. I get embarrassed very easily..and I looked over at Sarita and Larry and they were just laughing so hard at me, I guess they liked seeing my face turn red I just couldnt' believe it!!
As it turned out when Larry asked for the pen.. he had wrote on the napkin to the waitress it was my birthday so they had it planned all along!! I just couldn't believe how I had missed it!! I just was really shocked.. but have never never forgotten it!! I wonder if they remember this...

Well that's about all I have about them... I'll have to get a pic of them and I can post it on here to show you what wonderful friends I have living in Ky :)

    My Husband Robert

I thought I'd post something about my husband Robert.. Since he is the other half in this marriage and he really does need to be recognized for everything he has done and has tried to do for me..

Robert is a very sweet person who is very sensitive.. He has been there for me when I'm sick or when I'm hurt he's always stayed by my side, He doesn't like seeing me being sick or hurt.. He's even called in to work or left work early when I'm sick.. even with just a stomach virus he'd stay home and take care of me.. bring me something to drink or even to put in a movie in the DVD player or whatever I need so I can stay on the couch or in bed and rest.. I've never had a man do that for me.. I've been pretty much spoiled by Robert :)

I have to admit.. I don't treat robert like he does me but I know he still loves me for who I am.. He gets frustrated with me when I don't wanna tell him what's wrong with me or what is going on that is making me mad but he's learning to let me tell him in my own time.. which I do appreciate..

Robert has had the same pain and heartache as I did in his previous marriage.. and I think in turn that did make him a stronger man.. although he is still sensitive and can easily have his feelings hurt.. he is a very very good man and I'm so glad I have him...

Robert treats me like I've never been treated before.. and sometimes now I take it for granted that he is the way he is and I'm trying to make myself remember he does it because he loves me and I should never take it for granted.. He didn't have to marry me, he didn't have to start a life with me, he didn't have to be there for me when I had the gallbladder surgery, or when I'm sick with something but he did.. and it's because he wants to and because he loves me.. and I really never had a man do that for me.. and I guess even after being together almost 2 years now that I'm still not used to that!!!!

I love Robert so much and I am hoping that one day I can really open up the way I need to show him that I do love him more than just saying the words "I Love You" because I still feel like that is not enough to show him I love him..

Tomorrow, Robert starts his training with a new company that is coming into the call center he works for.. and He is so nervous and scared about it.. the training lasts approximately 3 weeks and after the 3 weeks he will have to take a test and see if he passes the agent test and if he does he can keep his job there.. if he doesn't pass it then he will be let go.. so he's really nervous about it.. This afternoon I told him not to worry because I have faith in him and that he can do it.. you see.. Robert doesn't take change very well and gets very agitated when things are changed.. and I mean even the littlest change upsets him.. so I'm sure he will do well on this just have to have faith that he knows he can make it through.. I have a lot of Confidence in him!! He's come through a lot of stuff with this company he works for so I know if he made it through all that he can make it through this.. He's been with them 2 1/2 years, (May will be 3 years for him) ..

In 2 weeks we will be celebrating our anniversary, and I can't believe how time has flown by and what we have gone through all the ups and downs of things that has been thrown in our way and we managed to overcome it and I'm so happy that we have made it through our 1st year of marriage.. and I am looking forward to being married to him for a long long long time hopefully we will be like my grandparents and be married over 60 years!! :-D

Here's a picture of my sweet husband and the love of my life...

    Happy Labor Day!!!

Good Morning Everyone and Happy Labor Day!!!

But, of course gonna just do it slowly today.. Mother Nature decided to pay a visit to our household so Gonna have to bear with that :( hehe sorry guys... but the way life goes..

I guess I'm gonna make this one short cause I have NOOOOOOO Idea what to post today.. maybe tonight I'll know :-D

    So far my weekend

    Hi there!!!

Well it's Sunday Night and I thought I'd sit down and work on my blog since some people have asked me about when I was gonna update so here I am... I have posted 3 songs tonight because they have a special meaning for different reasons in my life just like other songs ...

Friday night, I had my niece spend the night with me which she hasn't done in a while..(next weekend my nephew is gonna come over here) but anyway.. she and I had some time together talking and stuff then yesterday, I went and met up with my sister and the rest of her family and we went out to eat for lunch and the whole bunch went over to see my grandparents.. I hadn't seen my grandparents in a few weeks so I figured now that I wasn't working on this Saturday that I'd go over there.. then after that we all went to Wal Mart for a short bit, then we all came back to my house.....

Of course, that didn't end there we all went out to eat for supper once Robert got off from work and came home.. he had to work till 7 so we didn't even get to eat till close to 8 which I really hated to do but what choice I got?!?!?! but thankfully this is the last Saturday he has to work too!!!!!

Today, Robert, Jo Ann (his sister) and I went down to Lenior City so we could go to Mae's apt. and hook up her computer that Jo Ann had rebuilt and give to her.. which we were there for a good while and we really enjoyed our visit down there but finally we had to say our good byes and come back home.. since we were expecting to be home around 1 pm but we didn't even leave Mae's till almost 4 pm!!!! I was really tired but I did enjoy our visit there I hadn't seen Mae for about 6-8 months ago!!! so it was good to see her again and the sad part all those months and she only lives 30 mins. from us.. Hopefully now that Robert's not working on Saturday's maybe, he and I can go down there and see Mae more often... Hey honey what do you think of that?!?!?!

Tomorrow is Labor Day!!! YAY!!! that means I'm off work tomorrow hehehe.. I'm sooo glad So I get to actually sleep in tomorrow and i'm planning to HOPEFULLY attack the chores I've let slide by all this time and start getting them done... the next holiday i'll be off for is Thanksgiving and that's when my family is planning to be over here for our holiday dinner!! YIKES!!!!! how can I get everything done?!?!?! Robert gonna help me do all this?!?!? LOL!!!!!

Well, Gonna hush up and get off here.. I'll talk to ya next time!!!!!!

This is Robert and Me sleeping in tomorrow morning!!!!

    American Soldier

This song is to the American Soldiers who is fighting in Iraq and other countries and to defend our freedom in the United States.. I'm very very proud of our american soldiers who serve our country...

This song is also by Toby Keith and I think he did it very very well...

    "American Soldiers"

I’m just tryin’ to be a father, raise a daughter and a son
Be a lover to their mother, everythin’ to everyone
Up and at ‘em bright and early, I’m all business in my suit
Yeah I’m dressed up for success, from my head down to my boots
    I don’t do it for money, there’s bills I that I can’t pay
I don’t do it for the glory, I just do it anyway
Providing for our future’s, my responsibility
Yeah I’m real good under pressure, being all that I can be
And I can’t call in sick on Mondays when the weekend’s been too strong
I just work straight through the holidays, and sometimes all night long

You can bet that I stand ready, when the wolf growls at the door
Hey I’m solid, hey I’m steady, hey I’m true down to the core.
And I will always do my duty no matter what the price
I’ve counted up the cost, I know the sacrifice
Oh and I don’t want to die for you, but if dyin’s asked of me
I’ll bear that cross with honor, cause freedom don’t come free.

I’m an American Soldier an American
Beside my brothers and my sisters, I will proudly take a stand
When liberty’s in jeopardy, I will always do what’s right

I’m out here on the front lines, sleep in peace tonight
American Soldier, I’m and American, Soldier.

    An American Soldier an American
Beside my brothers and my sisters, I will proudly take a stand
When liberty’s in jeopardy, I will always do what’s right
I’m out here on the front lines, sleep in peace tonight
American Soldier, I’m and American, an American, an American, Soldier.

Toby's Right... they didnt' have to do this but they chose to because they wanted to protect us and our freedom.. Toby's father was in the Military and so he's heard a lot from the Military and I do think we need to stand behind our troops even if we don't agree with the war.. we don't make that decision about the war but we can stand behind our troops and support them with all we got..

    The List

This song came after the horrible 9/11 and at that time I was going through a very difficult time in my life.. but after I heard this song I knew that there was more things I should do to cherish my life and my time with with the ones I love.. and ya know.. the night I had asked Robert to marry me.. I heard this song on my way over to his house and it made me decide for sure that I shouldn't wait so much longer to get into a marriage again because we really don't know how much longer we have in our days of living...

This song is by Toby Keith and it's called "The List"

    The List
    Toby Keith

Under an old brass paperweight is my list of things to do today
Go to the bank and the hardware store,
put a new lock on the cellar door
I cross 'em off as I get 'em done
but when the sun is set
There's still more than a few things left I haven't got to yet
Go for a walk, say a little prayer
Take a deep breath of mountain air
Put on my glove and play some catch
It's time that I make time for that
Wade the shore and cast a line
Pick up a long lost friend of mine
Sit on the porch and give my girl a kiss
Start livin', that's the next thing on my list

Wouldn't change the course of fate
but cuttin' the grass just had to wait
'Cause I've bot more important things
like pushin' my kid on the backyard swing
I won't break my back for a million bucks I can't take to my grave
So why put off for tomorrow
what I could get done today Like go for a walk,
say a little prayer Take a deep breath of mountain air
Put on my glove and play some catch
It's time that I make time for that Wade the shore and cast a line
Pick up a long lost friend of mine
Sit on the porch and give my girl a kiss
Start livin', that's the next thing on my list

Raise a little hell, laugh 'til it hurts
Put an extra five in the plate at church
Call up my folks just to chat It's time that I make time for that
    Stay up late, then oversleep
Show her what she means to me
Catch up on all the things I've always missed
Just start livin', that's the next thing on my list
    Under an old brass paperweight
Is my list of things to do today.....

Some of these stuff relates to me and some don't but of course everyone has something in this song that relates to them..

At that time of my life when this song came out.. I had distanced myself away from everyone.. I was angry, depressed and every feeling in the world.. I wanted everyone to "hurt" like I was but now that I look back.. I was only hurting myself because I wasn't taking the time to be with them and let them help me through the seperation and the divorce..

This song really made me stop and think a lot lately when I hear it because now I really believe that my family and I are closer now because I've actually started opening up and talking to my mom and sister about my feelings and asking for help..

    Thanks Mom and Mary!!!!

    The Impossible

This song that I heard on the radio quite a few times makes me think of only 1 thing.. that nothing is ever impossible.. we may get down and out, we may feel like it will never happen but it's never impossible because everything has it's purpose .. it may happen right then and there.. or it may happen years down the road but one thing is for sure... IT'S NOT IMPOSSIBLE!!

This song is by Joe Nichols and of course it's titled "The Impossible"

    The Impossible
    Joe Nichols

My dad chased monsters from the dark,
    checked underneath my bed,
he could lift me with one arm,
way up over top of his head,
    He could loosen rusty bolts,
with a quick turn of his wrench,
he pulled splinters from his hand,
    never even flinched,
In 13 years I'd never seen him cry,
but the day that Grandpa died,
    I realized

    (chorus)
    Unsinkable ships~ sink
    Unbreakable walls~ break
Sometimes the things you think will never happen~happen just like that
    unbendable steel~ bends
if the fury of the wind is unstoppable I've learned to never underestimate...the impossible
Then there was my Jr. year Billy had a brand new car
it was late the road was wet..I guess the curve was just too sharp
I walked away with out a scratch
    they brought the helicopter in
and Billy couldn't feel his legs
    said he'd never walk again
but Billy said he would and his Mom and Daddy prayed
    and the day we graduated
he stood up and to say
    unsinkable ships~ sink
    unbreakable walls~ break
sometimes the things you think will
never happen~ happen just like that
    unbendable steel~ bends
if the fury of the wind is unstoppable I've learned to never underestimate the impossible
so don't tell me that it's over don't give up on you and me cause theres
no such thing as hopeless if u believe
    unsinkable ships~ sink
    unbreakable walls~ break
sometimes the things you think will never happen ~ happen just like that
    unbendable steel~bends
if the fury of the wind is unstoppable I've
learned to never underestimate the impossible

    Sorry but no more Comments

    Ok...

After seeing how some people do not show respect for other people's feelings (apparently don't have any respect for themselves also) I have also decided along with my sister to NOT allow any comments to posts here anymore..

    Thanks,
    Sandy

    The Blonde Cowboy....

    The Blonde Cowboy

The Sheriff in a small town walks out in the street and sees a blonde cowboy coming down the
walk with nothing on but his cowboy hat, gun and his boots, so he arrests
    him for indecent exposure.

As he is locking him up, he asks "Why in the world are you only wearing your gun, hat and boots?"

The Cowboy says "Well it's like this Sheriff... I was in the bar down the road and this pretty little red head asks me to go out to her motor home with her... so I did.

We go inside and she pulls off her top and asks me to pull off my shirt... so I did. Then she pulls off her skirt and asks me to pull off my pants... so I did. Then she pulls off her panties and asks me to pull off my shorts... so I did.

Then she gets on the bed and looks at me kind of sexy and says, "Now go to town cowboy... " And here I am.

    See, Blonde Men do exist

    Friendship?!?!

Today I was sitting at my desk at work, since today wasn't really all that busy and I was running out of work to do, I started to think about someone that I had known only by chatting online for the last 3 years..

You see.. She lives in New York and we met in a chat room for truck drivers and their families and friends.. at that time I was married to a truck driver and she is married to one.. But as time progressed our chats lead us to find that we had so much in common!! too many in fact to list..

But even after 3 years of being "best friend's and like sisters" I do believe our friendship has drifted apart.. I think I know why, but it's still hard for me to understand why we don't talk "anymore"...

We may have different opinions but of course something had happened that I have strong feelings aganist.. and becuase of how I feel about something it has probably drawn a line between my friendship between us 2..

Sigh... it's hard being a grown up and trying NOT to act like a childish brat but sometimes things are hard to contain your opinions of things you feel strongly against.. to yourself that is..

Why do people drift apart over difference in opinions?? if anyone can actually tell me the logical reason why anyone would drift apart over differences in opinions....

Well Guess I probably have said enough for now.. So i guess I'll just hit that "Publish Post" .. Talk to ya in the next Post!!!
